I have spent the last two days at a lodge called El Silencio. And it does full justice to it’s name. This is a beautiful spot!! Very secluded, just 16 bungalows, with a very strong focus on conservation, sustainability and community development. The food is all organic and very, very good! Actually the best I’ve had so far in Central America.

I spent my time doing some long hikes in the very dense rain forest, passing mystic waterfalls, visiting lookouts and soaking in the untouched nature. Also did my first visit to a Spa on this trip, had a Swedish massage for an hour – very relaxing. If you ever get close to El Silencio, do pay it a visit. You will enjoy it!

Now it’s time to pack my bag and get on the road. San Jose it will be.
