When Shakespeare wrote those now immortal words he was voicing the awe of a young woman who for the first time sees men other than her father and the oddly misshapen man-monster, Caliban.

Photographer Rob Whitworth “constructs” his little planets from multiple high resolution images, resulting in illusions as powerful as Prospero’s tempest on a cloudless day.

Not to belabor the metaphor unduly, but I’m constantly amazed at the blending of technology and art and the way the combination expands the horizons of imagination.
