My routine interaction with the guests staying at Cardamom County provides first hand information about their experiences at the resort and various activities in and around wild Periyar. I recently happened to speak with Mr. Namjoshi and his family, who stayed at Cardamom County a couple days ago.

“My wife, daughter & I had one of the most amazing times when we stayed at Cardamom County. Traveling all the way from Pune to spend a few days in Kerala has proved to be one of our best holiday choices. We spent a night in the houseboat in Alleppey and traveled to Thekkady to stay at Cardamom County which is situated quite close to the Periyar National park.

As our holiday was planned at the last moment, we spent only one night in Thekkady and only after reaching Cardamom County we realised that one day was just not enough. We managed a few activities but there is so much more to experience.

We were impressed with the eco-friendly initiatives taken by the resort. The flowers in the resort are so beautiful that I couldn’t resist taking a few snaps. The Xmas decorations were made with all natural materials, the tree was a real one and decorated only with eco-friendly material: papers, cardboards, no plastics. The staff was very courteous and genuine and already we are waiting to plan our next trip back to Thekkady.”
