Equitable Origin’s Partnership With Coordinating Organization Of Indigenous Communities Of The Amazon Basin (COICA)

Equitable Origin has renewed its cooperation agreement with the Coordinadora de Organizaciones Indígenas de la Cuenca Amazónica (COICA).  The EO100 Standard is an ongoing project that will improve environmental and social practices in the oil and gas industry and we are very appreciative of the continued active support of COICA.

The agreement solidifies the strategic alliance between the two organizations for a two-year period. They will work together to promote the EO100 Standard throughout the nine countries of the Amazon Basin as a way to empower indigenous organizations and their members.  This partnership will further empower local communities to recommend ways to enrich the EO100 Standard as well as to execute EO100 Standard pilot projects in conjunction with oil and gas companies operating in the Amazon basin.
