This looks much smaller than the mockingbirds that I’m use to seeing in Northeast Florida.
I’ve seen ones in Florida go after cats or dogs that are near their nest. Are the Western ones as aggressive? You Matter! Smiles, Nancy
They certainly are, I’m willing to wager, equally aggressive out here, Nancy. They go after all kinds of other birds, and I’ve seen one fly right into the back of a woman’s head – apparently the entrance to her house was too close to that of the mockingbird!
