The Keoladeo Ghana National Park (also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary) is home to numerous species including the Indian Monitor Lizard. They are quiet easy to photograph as they come out in the sun to bask.
When not disturbed they are out of their burrow in the open basking for a long time, giving photographers ample time to choose their compostion and angle, as well as ensure a complementary background (given the situation).
