When I was asked to be the “face of RAXA Collective” during the Christmas/New Year’s Eve celebrations at Cardamom County, my impulsive nature overtook any kind of rational thinking and I said “yes”. I didn’t stop to think for a minute if I could do a decent job or not. But once I’d already made a commitment, I realized that I shouldn’t think too much of it and decided to go with the flow. So when the day dawned, I was my usual self, but honestly, quite anxious.
There were about 120 guests and to keep the crowd occupied is one thing, and entertained is another. There were some cultural programs lined up and the gaps were to be filled up with some games. Giving myself a pat on the back I must admit that I was able to synchronize it well. After I had Christmas Eve under my belt, my confidence level rose and hence the New Year Eve celebrations weren’t all that difficult and I wasn’t anxious anymore.
Perhaps the guests weren’t expecting the different forms of entertainment that the program showcased and the MC performance exceeded their expectations! At least I’d like to thinks so because I definitely pulled it off!
Here’s a secret between me and the readers: What I forgot to mention to my bosses when they asked me to do this was that it was the first time for me!
Here are few pictures.
