Sighting Of The Day

Cardamom County receives guests of all ages who are enthusiastic about trekking, hiking and bamboo rafting as well as others who just like to relax in the beautiful ambiance of our property. Our privileged location across the street from the Periyar Tiger Reserve means a lot of overlap of fauna such as birds, butterflies and even monkeys between us, although obviously we don’t have any tigers on property!

The reserve is known for its wildlife and vast acres of rough terrain. Visitors who make the effort to experience the reserve on foot are often rewarded with excellent sightings. This last month we had many motivated guests who went on the bamboo-rafting trek (approximate 2 hour trek to the rafts). The guests were delighted to share their photographs with us, leaving behind their memories with us and also carrying their tales from the wild and Cardamom County with them.
