Great capture! That looks like a big fish (you know what kind?) staring down it’s captors throat here! So could the bird really manage to win the struggle and gulp it down entirely okay?? Does the fish put up a good fight, if eaten, does the poor prey get swallowed wriggling all the way as well?!
Thanks Kyle! It’s actually quite a spectacle! Eventually the bird will swallow the fish whole. Darters (or Anhingas) also feed this way. Check out this great example!
