In the world’s largest democracy, there are a diversity of ideologies that would make any other democracy blush in modesty.  Today, on the streets of Cochin, you could have had a very small sense of that.

Kerala, in particular, is one of the states that offers a very wide range of opportunities for voters to ponder.  The combination of Lenin’s image, the hammer and sickle, and the beautiful Malayalam script in this snapshot does not even begin to do justice to the array of noises filling the street nearby (thanks to this vehicle’s megaphone in part, and to driving habits in general).
