There are as many as 47 million pet cats out hunting for prey. Add that to the tens of millions of feral cats and strays, and researchers estimate that the furry felines are responsible for billions of bird and small mammal deaths every year.

We love that this issue is finally getting the attention it deserves. Cats should be kept indoors. That’s the solution.
Hi Barbra and Jack! That seems to be a tough solution for many cat owners, although it definitely seems like an obvious one. I’ve always wondered if bells actually work.
Bells have been tested in scientific studies. They don’t work even a little. Before we moved to Alaska, we had a really great cat. (She’s now with our daughter.) We like cats… but the toll they take on birds, young rabbits and even butterfly and large moths is just incredible.
