Friends and followers of this site already know of our fondness for birds, and we were happy to come across Will Rose‘s charming educational animation illustrating bird identification.

Blackbirds, swallows, kingfishers, swifts and goldfinches all have been highlighted here – but never quite as delightfully as this. (Although in full disclosure the goldfinches we’ve posted are the American cousins to the European goldfinch pair animated here.

Taking a look at Will’s link to the Eastport Artist in Residence page we see that he is as enamored with birds as we are!
